Recently, state Rep. Steve Santarsiero, D-31, hosted two seminars about
college financing. I attended the event held at Council Rock North with about 50
other parents and grandparents of college-bound students. We listened to a
terrific panel of state and local experts, which included the state Treasurer
Rob McCord. Every speaker was informative and eager to help us understand which
saving and financing options make the most sense for our families.
I arrived at the event very nervous about navigating the daunting maze of
college affordability and left feeling good that at least I had a plan.
